Day 221

As I continue my research, I keep returning to the thought that artifacts may not simply be clusters of energy, but carriers of information, thoughts, or even emotions crystallized within their form. These "thought-forms" in stone may contain the knowledge or experiences of an ancient civilization—echoes of the past that we are only beginning to comprehend.
If a thought captured in stone can persist and impact those around it, then each artifact we purify may be a key to ancient knowledge or even discoveries that could transform our world. Perhaps the act of cleansing artifacts is not just about releasing energy, but also about "unpacking" ancient thoughts preserved in their structure. This idea intrigues me, pushing me towards new experiments, because if we can decipher and use these thought-forms, we might access the power and wisdom of those who inhabited this world before us.
While the heroes continue to clear the foothills, disturbing reports have started to reach me. Many of our comrades who ventured into the Vanguard have not returned from the desert. This harsh and unforgiving land presents challenges not only through monsters but also through its climate and scarce resources. Those who returned reported that the desert monsters possess unusual healing abilities and behave on the battlefield entirely differently from their counterparts in the forests and caves. Perhaps remnants of ancient thought-forms concentrated there influence these creatures, granting them unique traits and altering their behavior.
By the end of the day, we received important news: a team of 35 heroes who had been on a prolonged reconnaissance mission finally returned to camp. They brought with them a list of desert inhabitants—valuable information that will help me piece together a more complete picture of the world of "IN" and may reveal connections between the power of artifacts, the behavior of monsters, and the geographical features of each region.
With each passing day, I am increasingly convinced that the desert holds mysteries we are not yet equipped to understand. It may hold remnants of an ancient culture capable of manipulating thought-forms and embedding them within stone. If my theories are correct, the desert is not merely a territory but a "mental archive," where every rock and artifact may carry a piece of consciousness from those who once lived here.
