Day 3

With the arrival of the third day came the sounds. Terrifying, unnatural sounds. A deep roar emanated from the depths of the forest, echoing off the walls of the canyon, penetrating the very depths of my heart. Screams and cries, reminiscent of the hissing of a snake, mixed with sounds resembling the scraping of metal against metal.

Their source remained a mystery, but one thing was clear - they came from creatures I had not yet encountered. My scientific curiosity battled with the instinct for self-preservation, and for now, the latter was winning.

My anxiety grew with each new sound. The sense of danger hung in the air, like an invisible shadow ready to descend upon me at any moment. I felt vulnerable, yet at the same time, filled with determination to continue my exploration.

In the canyon, there were large boulders, reminiscent of ancient monoliths, whose ledges provided me with shelter. They became my sanctuary, my bunker in this world. I felt safe when I was near them; their massiveness and steadfastness gave me confidence.

But even in my refuge, I couldn't escape those sounds. They infiltrated my dreams, disrupting my peace and filling me with unease. I knew I couldn't stay here forever. I would have to move forward, confront the unknown, and face my fears.
