Day 65
Tonight was pitch black—it was a new moon. We noticed once again: after victories over the monsters, the number of transforming gemstones significantly decreased. This effect vanished as quickly as the moon began its journey towards the first quarter.
Moreover, today one of the new heroes, a man by the name of FenixBird, approached me. His words sounded like an accusation—he believes that I devote too much attention to experienced heroes and far too little to newcomers. "Bias," he called it.
We had a lengthy and vibrant discussion. The essence of his question, perhaps even his complaint, was this: is it time for me, the professor, to reassess my priorities?
In response, I proposed a deal to him. If FenixBird defeats 150 monsters, I will allocate a portion of my gemstone reserves to him. To assist him in this challenging quest, I promised to dedicate more time to his training.
This will be a genuine experiment. I want to see how quickly a novice can adapt to the conditions of this world, having quality resources and my personal mentorship at their disposal.
Today was unquestionably a busy day. And every new event, every new encounter, is another step towards unraveling the mysteries of this amazing world.
